SWAP.1 Classic Ford Disc Brake Conversion Kit

65-67 KH 4 Piston Caliper Based Kit

COMPATABILITY: This kit is compatible with 5 lug 63-69 Falcon/Comet (60-62 as well with 63-65 control arm replacement and 8 cylinder type spindles), 62-69 Fairlane, 65-73 Mustang, 67-73 Cougar, Maverick/Comet, and some Torino. This kit installs onto existing V8 drum brake type spindles. The spindles are not included. Users with 6 cylinder cars will need to acquire and install 8 cylinder type spindles.

CONTENT: Disc Brake Swap 1The kit includes everything needed to swap out your front drum brakes for OE type "KH" Kelsey-Hayes type 4 piston caliper front disc brakes originally found on 1965-1967 V8 Mustang and other 60's Ford cars. All new parts including a dust shield kit, caliper brackets, corrosion protected performance 4 piston calipers, performance ceramic brake pads, brake hoses, hose brackets and attachment hardware, adjustable proportioning valve, residual pressure valve, master cylinder, master cylinder outlet adapter(s), an adjustable pushrod (manual brake applications), wheel bearings, wheel seals, caliper attachment hardware, wheel attachment hardware, dust caps, performance slotted rotors with bearing races pre installed, Grade 8 attachment bolts, thread lockers, anti-sieze grease for the brake fittings, caliper lube, and wheel bearing grease. Note that you will need to adapt or re-fab your hard brake lines to accommodate the proportioning valve, the residual pressure valve, and the master cylinder.

SELECTION CONSIDERATIONS: This kit is ideal for users with 5 lug 63-69 Falcon, Mustang, Fairlane, Torino, Cougar. The kit installs onto the existing spindles and thus is an easy mechanical install that does not affect the wheel alignment. This choice is also uses OE spec replacement parts with 65-67 applications. Most original V8 type14" wheels will fit this conversion. This is the kit that you should choose if you desire to use your original wheels and/or maintain "originality" with 65-67 applications.

SWAP.2 Classic Ford Disc Brake Conversion Kit

75-80 Granada Based Kit

COMPATIBILITY: This kit is compatible with 63-69 Falcon/Comet (60-62 as well with 63-65 control arm replacement), 62-69 Fairlane, 65-73 Mustang, 67-73 Cougar, Maverick/Comet, Granada/Monarch, and some Torino.

Disc Brake Swap 2CONTENT: Aside from hydraulic hard lines, the kit includes everything needed to swap out your front drum brakes for "Granada" type OE style disc brakes. All new parts including high strength alloy steel spindles, a dust shield kit, caliper brackets, corrosion protected calipers, semi-metallic pads, brake hoses, hose brackets and attachment hardware, adjustable proportioning valve, residual pressure valve, master cylinder, master cylinder outlet adapter(s), an adjustable pushrod (manual brake applications), wheel bearings, wheel seals, caliper attachment hardware, wheel attachment hardware, dust caps, performance slotted rotors with bearing races pre installed, outer tie rods correct for your application, Grade 8 attachment bolts, thread lockers, anti-sieze grease for the brake fittings, caliper lube, and wheel bearing grease.

Note that you will need to adapt or refab your hard brake lines to accommodate the proportioning valve, the master cylinder, and the brake hoses.

CSRP kits comes with spindles that have correct steering and suspension geometry for all 5 lug application. There will be no additional "bumpsteer" issue that is commonly associated with the original Granada spindles when used with these applications. The system is also a direct bolt on with 4 lug applications, but the steering geometry is not identical to that of the 4 lug spindle.

SELECTION CONSIDERATIONS: This is a proven, reliable, simple kit that includes new high strength alloy steering knuckles with the large bearing spindles. It is ideal for 4 lug applications since the spindles are included. This kit is generably applicable to the entire 65-73 Mustang series. Because of its ease of install and low replacement parts cost, many 65-73 users would be wise to consider this kit over the SWAP.1 or SWAP.3 kits if originality is not an important consideration. Your original 14" wheels will not fit this conversion.

SWAP.3 Classic Ford Disc Brake Conversion Kit

68-73 Mustang Based Kit

COMPATIBILITY: This kit is compatible with 63-69 Falcon/Comet (60-62 as well with 63-65 control arm replacement), 62-69 Fairlane, 65-73 Mustang, 67-73 Cougar, Maverick/Comet, Granada/Monarch, and some Torino.

CONTENT: Disc Brake Swap 3Aside from hydraulic hard lines, the kit includes everything needed to swap out your front drum brakes for OE type front disc brakes originally available on 68-73 Mustang. They are technically correct for 70-73 Mustang, but the 68-69 OE differed only in that their spindles have a smaller pin. This kit uses the larger "Boss" type pin used after 1969. Our spindles use the "Granada spec outer tie rod hole.

All new parts including high strength alloy steel spindles, a dust shield kit, caliper brackets, corrosion protected calipers, semi-metallic pads, brake hoses, hose brackets and attachment hardware, adjustable proportioning valve, residual pressure valve, master cylinder, master cylinder outlet adapter(s), an adjustable pushrod (manual brake applications), wheel bearings, wheel seals, caliper attachment hardware, wheel attachment hardware, dust caps, performance slotted rotors with bearing races pre installed, outer tie rods correct for your application, Grade 8 attachment bolts, thread lockers, anti-sieze grease for the brake fittings, caliper lube, and wheel bearing grease.

Note that you will need to adapt or refab your hard brake lines to accommodate the proportioning valve, the master cylinder, and the brake hoses.

SELECTION CONSIDERATIONS: This kit will apply to all of the applications noted above, it is your best choice if you wish to use the original wheels on 68+ cars, and/or wish to maintain "originality" on those same applications. Your original 1968 and later 14" wheels will fit this conversion. Earlier wheels may fit.

67pbuThe 67.PBU power brake upgrade kit has all new parts including adirect mount aftermarket booster, bracketry, power master cylinder upgrade, hose, power brake pedal push rod, power brake pedal, and hardware. The kit can only be applied to 67-70 automatic transmission equipped cars. It can be used on manual transmission cars if the installer is willing to modify the metal pedal pad on the brake pedal.
